Before the large-scale Horizon Grand Prix competition, the team of the Vocational High School of Transport successfully tested their hydrogen car model

The team of the Vocational High School of Transport in Burgas made its debut on the hydrogen car prototype, which they built themselves, for participation in the world competition for hydrogen cars Hydrogen Grand Prix 2024.

With a strong desire to present their knowledge and skills, the students of the 8th grade in the “Electric vehicles” specialty – Borislav Varbanov and Teodor Pirev – pilots, Nikolay Pavlov and Anastas Chakalov – mechanics and engineer Krasimir Kanchev – team leader and director of high school, rose to the challenge that this competition presented.

Although they were the youngest participants and this was their first participation, the Burgas team demonstrated high professionalism, commitment and deservedly accepted the congratulations and ovations of the organizers.

After 4 hours and about 300 laps in the “Overgaz Arena” in Sofia, the race, which had a preparatory nature for the national competition on 08.06.2024, which Burgas will host, the team finished successfully, moving with the fourth time out of 10 schools .

The Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix is ​​an event that is dedicated to building and driving hydrogen car models. Hydrogen is the fuel of the future, so it is important that young engineers and inventors explore its potential application. The team ranked first will represent Bulgaria at the final in Los Angeles in September.
