In Varna, they explained what the procedures are for projects for a socially responsible business environment

The Regional Information Center-Varna participated with a presentation in the National Conference “Building a Socially Responsible Business Environment”, hosted by the maritime capital. The meeting was attended by representatives of business, national and local authorities, non-governmental and employer organizations, social enterprises and other interested parties During the event organized by the National Association of Socially Responsible Employers, as part of a project under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, OIC-Varna presented opportunities for financing business and social enterprises.

Funds under the “Development of Innovations in Enterprises” procedure under the “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” Program 2021-2027 will support activities on the development of product innovations or innovations in business processes related to conducting research, tests, measurements and validation, creation and testing of prototypes and pilot lines, as well as activities for the protection of industrial property rights at the national and international level of the innovation developed under the project, explained the manager of OIC-Varna, Dr. Victoria Nikolova. She added that under the same program admission will soon be opened under the procedure for improving the production capacity and market performance of family businesses and enterprises from the creative industries and crafts. which is in November this year, the manager of OIC-Varna pointed out.

The attendees learned what activities will be funded by the upcoming procedures under the Human Resources Development Program 2021-2027 – “New Skills”, “Alma Youth Initiative”, “Promoting the Social Economy at the Local and Regional Level” . The possibilities for applying under the Program “Scientific research, innovation and digitization for intelligent transformation” 2021 – 2027 were also discussed.

Start-ups and social enterprises can receive credit financing under two of the debt financial instruments – “Microcrediting with shared risk” and “Portfolio guarantee with loss ceiling for microcrediting”, explained Dr. Nikolova. She introduced the participants in the forum to the activities of OIC-Varna and the services it provides.
