Municipal councilors from the BSP send a signal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications about the water supply project in “Slaveykov”

For more than a year and 3 months, residents of the Burgas settlement “Slaveykov” want the saga of street repairs, which are part of the integrated water cycle in the city, to end. They signaled the relevant institutions that the project will not be worked on from the beginning of 2023, including sending photos to the regional structure of the BSP in Burgas. Municipal councilors Chanko Mirchev and Stanimir Baev explained that their signals will be sent in a letter to the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

We care about consistency and our actions are related to the equality of citizens, because the signals are from the second most populated and largest complex in Burgas – “Slaveykov”. This was said by the BSP municipal councilor Stanimir Baev. He explained that the signal will be sent to Violeta Koritarova – regional minister:

“For more than a year and 3 months, the construction and assembly works have been suspended in the sections between the intersection of block No. 65 and Yanko Komitov Street, as well as between the streets between DG Moryache and blocks numbered 25, 26, 27, 28 .The street surface has not been restored, it is not for printing with a suitable fraction until the construction activities resume. All this creates a real danger of road accidents, there are sewage manholes, holes and unsecured sewage sections.
4 reports of broken car windows have been submitted to the local authority. It is only a matter of time before citizens suffer. At the same time, all this dust and dirt is breathed in by the residents of the complex and by their children, which is unhealthy.

The water supply company in Burgas has been repeatedly signaled by citizens of the complex, as well as by the Territorial Directorate of Liberation and the Municipality, but so far without result, Baev explained.

There was a similar case in Dolno Ezerovo and Lozovo, said Vasil Ivanov:

“My fight against the water cycle in Burgas has been going on for more than 1 year. After the repair work began in Dolno Ezerovo and Lozovo, a number of violations were found. We alerted a number of institutions. It was claimed that everything would be cleaned up and the issues would be resolved, but at some point the repairs stopped. We organized three protests, and in Lozovo the repairs are still going on.”

According to Nikolay Tishev, regional chairman of the BSP and a member of the regional council of the party, he has held various meetings with representatives on the subject and indicated:

“The Water and Sewerage Department says so – in the final stage of this process, it will be carried out when the sewage system is included in the adjacent blocks and the new routes. After that, the street surface will be restored.”

The problems in the infrastructure of Slaveykov must end, but they cannot be solved at the regional level either, explained municipal councilor Chanko Mirchev:

“The problem is also with dusting. They suggest running the water carrier and spraying so that there is no dust. Yes, but summer is coming and when the spray from the water carrier dries up, the problem remains.”

The letter to Minister Violeta Koritarova contains all the signals of the residents of the complex, supported by photographic material, the BSP added.
