Mayor Metodi Baikushev awarded the medalists of TC “Falcon”, who glorified Blagoevgrad at the ITF European Taekwondo Championship in Slovenia – 4VLAST

Today’s regular meeting of the Blagoevgrad Municipal Council began in an exciting and emotional way, with the awarding of the medal winners of TC “Falcon” who took part in the European Championship in Koper, Slovenia last week.

The chairman of the local parliament, Radoslav Taskov, congratulated the Blagoevgrad athletes and called on the municipal councilors and all those present in the “September 22” hall to stand up and applaud the excellently presented athletes who made Blagoevgrad famous.

At today’s award ceremony, the athletes received their certificates from the mayor of Blagoevgrad Municipality, Metodi Baikushev, the chairman of the Municipal Council, Radoslav Taskov, and Stanislav Kimchev, Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The home delegation of the championship was led by the President of the Bulgarian Federation and Vice-President of the European Federation, Master Mario Bogdanov, the Vice-President of the BF Taekwondo-Do ITF, Master Kostadin Dimitrov, and the Secretary General of the Bulgarian Federation and Vice-President of the Tournament and Judges Commission at the EITF and a member of the tournament commission to the ITF, Master Virgilii Sitnilski. The chosen ones of our national selectors Amalia Koleva, Todor Kozladerov and Ivo Ivanov won 14 gold, 8 silver and 42 bronze medals from the European championship that ended on Sunday and was held in Koper, Slovenia.
