Police in Razgradsko with increased control during the holidays

To ensure public order during the upcoming holidays Palm Sunday, Easter and May 6 – St. George’s Day and Day of Courage and the Bulgarian Army, as well as the related holidays, an organization for the protection of public order, the road and fire safety.

Weekends and holidays are characterized by intensive vehicle traffic on the republican road network and the entrance-exit road sections of large settlements. Traffic police teams will monitor compliance with the Road Traffic Act. All technical means of speed control will be used. Violations will be monitored on the busiest sections in cities, areas of drinking establishments, municipal and main roads, as well as in places with an increased concentration of traffic accidents. On the days from April 27 to May 7, there will be traffic management planned and in line with the traffic. Specialized operations are planned to identify drivers who are not licensed, as well as those who have consumed alcohol and drugs.

There will be an increased police presence around the temples during:

  • from 09:00 to 12:00 on April 28 /Tsvetnitsa/
  • from 19.00 to 23.00 on May 3
  • from 22.00 to 02.30 on May 4
  • May 5 /Easter/

A maximum number of employees with control powers under the Social Security Act will join the action on May 6 from 2 to 9 p.m.

Economic police teams will monitor for unregulated commercial activity. Inspections are carried out in commercial establishments with regard to the offered food products together with employees of the ODBH.

Meetings were held with the RUO for upcoming student group trips to check all drivers regarding their driving license, alcohol use, intoxicants, and the technical condition of the vehicles that will be used to travel.

ODMVR – Razgrad warns citizens to be vigilant about their personal belongings in public places. With the upcoming holidays giving the opportunity to be away from home, police advice is that when you leave your home for an extended period of time, do not announce this to a wide range of people. Avoid keeping large sums of money or expensive items in your home. Money and valuables should not be left in your cars either, regardless of how long you leave them.

Drivers should be tolerant of other road users, obey traffic rules and not get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol.
