The traditional edition of an edition of the Children’s and Youth Folklore Festival “The spring will not dry up – Palm Sunday 2024” will be held on the holiday itself. This year it is on April 29 (Sunday). The 20th anniversary edition will take place on the stage in “Artillery” Park at 10 o’clock. Over 650 children from kindergartens, community centers, schools and singing and dancing schools will take part. This year, a school from Gabrovo will participate in the event with dances. Besides songs and dances, customs will also be displayed on stage. Art workshops are also organized. It is a concomitant manifestation drawing contest “Spring Holidays”. Over 20 drawings have already been evaluated by the jury, which will announce the winners on Sunday. All participants will receive a certificate, medal or statuette for participation. “The idea of this holiday has been and always will be the preservation and popularization of our folklore tradition. To introduce children to folk values, to preserve the Bulgarian identity, this is very important for us”. This was shared by the secretary of the “Development 1878” HC in the village of Dalboki, who are part of the organizers. Coorganizers are the municipality of Stara Zagora and the Center for Support and Personal Development in the city.
