The mayor of Montana Zlatko Zhivkov received the basketball players who took the silver medals in the women’s championship. The title was won by Beroe /Stara Zagora/ after the fifth game at home:
“Thank you, girls, for the participation and for the championship, which we have finished. Unfortunately, we cannot put one star in the hall. We did not need one point and a few seconds to add another championship star to the Mladost hall. We are the only team in Bulgaria that has had women’s basketball for 35 years. This is one of the few cases where I am not satisfied with being second, because I have always been first. Thank you. We will need a little more to be able to beat the judges .And if we were even a little better, so that the judges could not stop us. When we are equal, everything is possible.
The captain of the team Preslava Koleva presented the cup and the silver medal to Zhivkov and wished:
“So do everything possible to be well, continue to give money to sports, support Bulgarian sports and I wish you many cups and especially first places from here on out
