Friends and associates participated in the charity bazaar of the Association of Cancer Patients in Gorna Oryahovitsa

With a charity bazaar, the Association of Cancer Patients in Gorna Oryahovitsa celebrated 20 years since the establishment of the organization. Many friends and associates of the Association, representatives of various institutions and organizations and many citizens came to the opening.
The bazaar was opened by the deputy mayor Petya Ivanova. When a man is faced with the severe test of fighting for the most valuable, he tempers the strength of his spirit. Today I have the honor and the opportunity to be among these people and share that on days like today we realize again and again that the only way to face trials is to believe in goodness and charity as a way of life. Such days unite us and bring us together, they remind us that we are all part of one whole and as soon as we are united, the good multiplies, said Petya Ivanova to those present.
This is a big test for both the patient and the people around him, because everyone participates in the fight to save life, the Chairman of the Municipal Council Ognyan Stoyanov addressed the representatives of the Association and their guests and wished them strength and faith in the difficult battle to save of life.
The stalls of the bazaar, arranged in the center of the city, offered handmade sweets, souvenirs, books, paintings.
The collected funds will be distributed to cancer patients in second and third remission, for research and rehabilitation of an unemployed student and for an information campaign related to prevention and prevention among young people, said the president of the Association, Maria Georgieva.
A special greeting on the eve of the beautiful spring holidays Lazarov’s Day and Tsvetnitsa was sent by the little lazarettes from the “Zvanche” vocal group to the “Ivan Vazov” elementary school and from the “Bodra Smyana” branch of the “First of June” school. There was also a greeting from the partners of the organization in Gabrovo.
The charity bazaar is organized jointly with the “Humanity” association and the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union in Gorna Oryahovitsa, assisted by volunteers from the Youth Red Cross. The bazaar was held under the patronage of the Mayor of the Municipality Nikolay Rashkov.
