Students got to know the work of the court and participated in a simulated trial in the District Court in Dobrich

Students from Petko R. Slaveikov Secondary School and Raiko Tsonchev Private Profiled High School visited the District Court in Dobrich today, where an Open Day was held. As part of the event, students from Petko R. Slaveikov Secondary School were introduced to the profession of a judicial officer, as well as to that of employees from the regional unit “Judicial Security”.
The administrative secretary of the District Court – Dobrich, Toshka Ivanova, explained in detail to the students the functions of the judicial administration, presenting the various positions that perform them.
Students from ChPG “Raiko Tsonchev” took part in a simulation trial based on a real criminal case examined in the District Court. They took on the role of judge, jury, court clerk, lawyer, defendant. Before the start of the trial, they were welcomed by the president of the court Galatea Khanjieva, who explained to them the functions of the judge and jurors and the principles in the courtroom.
The court process was followed by the real reporter in the case – the deputy president of the court Petar Monev.
