GERB: The opposition rejected a project for sewerage in “Rusevtsi” district and water supply to 5 districts

The opposition in the Municipal Council did not support the construction of a sewerage system in Rusevtsi quarter and a water supply pipeline for the neighborhoods of Nedevtsi, Lisets, Hristo Smirnenski, Dyado Dyanko, Radetski for their water supply from the Hristo Smirnenski dam “.

This was stated in a statement by the media from the local structure of PP “GERB”. The letter points out the reason that these are only part of the investments in the water supply and sewerage network, which the councilors from PP-DB, Vazrazhdane, “BSP for Bulgaria” and “Budno Gabrovo” did not support at a meeting of the Municipal Council, at which they were supposed to the representative of the Municipality of Gabrovo – the Mayor of the Municipality – to be authorized to vote “yes” and to give his consent to the water supply company applying under the “Environment” program with a project for the reconstruction and modernization of water supply networks and facilities on the territory of the Gabrovo region.

The project envisages that the water supply from the Hristo Smirnenski dam to the Nedevtsi, Lisets, Hristo Smirnenski, Dyado Dyanko neighborhoods will be made through the reconstruction of a section of the water pipeline from the dam to the Kiselchova Mogila treatment plant, reconstruction of an internal water supply network, construction of a new pumping station and supply water supply for the neighborhoods.

It also provides for the rehabilitation and completion of a part of the sewerage network in Gabrovo and investments to improve the water supply in Sevlievo.

“In this case, due to the votes of the opposition, the representative of the Municipality of Gabrovo in the General Assembly of Water and Sewerage will not have the right to support the planned investments for the construction of water pipes and the improvement of water supply in Gabrovo neighborhoods. We hope that the municipal councilors in the other partner municipalities have voted with more reason and responsibility towards the residents of the district, unlike the opposition in Gabrovo.

We call on the municipal councilors from the opposition not to behave like the Anti-Gabrovo Coalition and to realize that with such votes they are hindering important investments in the water supply expected by the residents of the district, and damaging the prestige of Gabrovo in front of the other partners in the water supply”, are categorical from GERB – Gabrovo.
