First place in the regional round of the national traffic safety quiz was won by the team of “Hristo Botev” SU – Sungurlare. The second place prize went to the team of OU “Lyuben Karavelov” – Burgas. In third place came the team of OU “Anton Strashimirov” ” – Debelt village, in fourth place is the team of “Hristo Botev” Primary School – Pomorie, and in fifth place – “G.S. Rakovski” Primary School – Orizare.
The road safety quiz was held in five rounds:
– road safety test (leaflet with certain road safety situations);
– solving the quiz;
– practical assignment – repairing a malfunction of a bicycle;
– practical assignment – a situation for non-medical assistance;
– puzzle of 4 road signs. Speed and faithful execution of the task were required in this round by regulation.
The teams consisted of four competitors from each school aged 5 – 7 grades.
The regional quiz is organized by partners from the Regional Department of Education – Burgas, the Municipality of Burgas, the Center for Personal Development Support – Burgas, the Traffic Police Sector at the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Burgas, the Union of Bulgarian Motorists and the Bulgarian Red Cross – Burgas Branch, Bike School – Burgas.
The first ranked team will participate in the national round of the quiz in Sungurlare on 14-15 May 2024.
