He was placed under “house arrest”

The Veliko Tarnovo Court of Appeal ordered the permanent arrest of the police officer accused of property fraud. The 47-year-old inspector from the District Office in Dve Mogili was placed under “home arrest“. Observing prosecutor Radoslav Gradev stated that they will protest the measure before the Court of Appeal in Veliko Tarnovo.

The Supreme Court respected the protest of prosecutor’s officeby canceling the decision of the District Court – Ruse (by which a measure of indifference was taken “Home arrest“) and detained D.G., who is accused for participation in an organized criminal group for property fraud in pre-trial proceedings of the District prosecutor’s office-Ruse. The opinion of the Veliko Tarnovo Appellate Court prosecutor’s office was that D.G. should be arrested, the state prosecution reported.

D.G., together with D.V. and A.D., are involved in the capacity of accusedand for participation in an organized criminal group; frauds carried out by several persons who colluded in advance, in which large amounts of damage were caused; concealment and destruction of foreign private documents and use of false official documents.

In connection with the detected crime, from the District prosecutor’s office-Rousse was given a briefing stating that the group had been operating since November 2020 and had carried out five property fraud. After the preparation of false wills, they were presented to notaries, who declared them with a protocol for declaring a handwritten will in accordance with the Inheritance Act. The persons in whose favor it was “bequeathed” subsequently sold the real estate. Thus, they misled the bona fide buyers that they were the actual owners of the properties in question, and divided the proceeds from the sale among themselves.

D.V. also remains under remand, after the Veliko Tarnovo Court of Appeal on Friday refused to grant his request to change it to a lighter one.

The third accused A.T. also remanded in custody
