A student from Smolyan made a large Easter donation to the Old People’s Home in Fatovo

The 19-year-old student from Smolyan, Maria Keteva, made a large Easter donation of food products worth BGN 3,750 to the Home for Old People in the village of Fatovo, reported “Focus” the director of the home, Snezhana Avramova. She specified that the girl had been in continuous communication with the institution’s employees in recent weeks to decide together exactly what the users needed. The Easter donation includes packages of pulses, pasta, beef, minced meat, strawberries, preserves, compotes and jams for diabetics, olives, eggs and cottage cheese, fresh trout, cheese, milk and more.

Avramova added that the funds for the large donation were collected through a foundation under the motto “Give a smile to the elderly”, and there were also people who personally gave products and money to the student to use in the noble cause. Apart from food products , the donation also includes cooking utensils.

The student also pleased the users of the home with Easter cards made by children.

There are currently 65 users in Fatovo and all of them are extremely happy with the donation, noted Avramova. “Dear Maria, you are a worthy young person who warmed the hearts of the people housed in the Home for the Old in the village of Fatovo! With this kind and generous gesture, you prove to all of us that goodness exists,” say the staff and users of the home with affection.

On Easter, students from PPMG “Vasil Levski” – Smolyan are expected to personally bring painted eggs for each user, said Snezhana Avramova and added that the buildings and the courtyard of the Home for Old People in Fatovo are already decorated with Easter decorations and all with they are looking forward to the bright holiday.
