An urgent inter-departmental meeting will decide on the case with the water rescue of the beaches. The tourism industry in Varna has asked the Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev that the new requirements in the water rescue ordinance be postponed for the next season, as they are unfulfillable by the concessionaires. This was announced by Miloshev after a meeting with the industry and the mayor of the city, Blagomir Kotsev.

These new requirements caught concessionaires unprepared, as well as the entire sector, he said. According to him, a legal case arises if the old rules are left and therefore they will seek an interdepartmental solution.

Miloshev said the labor-starved sector would be relieved by the importation of workers from third countries, who can now more easily extend their visas thanks to changes in the Foreigners Act. The 90-day visa will now be renewed in our country, not only in the country where it was issued.

Another problem is wild camping and its control. The industry has been asked to create a tourist police to monitor any kind of violations, he added.

Miloshev also drew attention to the need to expand the “Durankulak” checkpoint. It is an important portal for Romanian tourists. The outlet is not big enough and in the busy summer season it creates tension, he said.
