“Aim for the perfect”

Young, capable, intelligent, purposeful and with diverse interests, Kiril Kirilov is one of the most successful Bulgarian sports shooters of the new generation.
At 24, Kirov is already an Olympic champion from the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Games.
Six years later, he will fight for a medal among the “big ones” at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

Kiril won the quota for Olympic participation after a Bronze medal from The World Airsoft Championship in Baku in 2023.

This award is so far the biggest achievement for Kiril and for his coach Rumiana Apostolova. The two have been working together since the very beginning, when Kiril first entered the shooting range in his hometown of Plovdiv.

“Shooting is a hobby for me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t treat it responsibly.” Kirill admits and adds that he is “the lucky one who doesn’t have to limit himself to just one thing in life that interests him“.

Even as a student, Kiril Kirov chose to follow Dental Medicine. Applications in Medical University in Plovdiv, where he is currently a fifth-year student. His interests are more – as a child he goes through several musical instruments, subsequently his father turns him on to hunting, which Cyril accepts as a responsibility, since “a hunter is first of all a person who cares for the forest and its inhabitants”.

“Aim for the perfect to achieve the maximum”says Kiril Kirov, for whom perfectionism may be a utopia, but everyone is free to strive for their maximum.
