Two 32-year-old cousins from Pazardzhik were caught with cocaine, and one was drugged behind the wheel of a car. This was announced by the spokesman of the local police directorate, Miroslav Stoyanov.

Their detention took place during a specialized police operation to counter the distribution and possession of drugs by employees of the “Criminal Police” sector at RU-Pazardzhik.

The law enforcement agencies, together with their colleagues from the “Road Police”, stopped a BMW jeep with a 32-year-old shopkeeper driver for inspection. A check followed, during which the law enforcement authorities found an envelope containing a white powdery substance weighing about 0.4 grams. During the field drug test, it turned out to be cocaine.

The man was held in custody for 24 hours. A 32-year-old cousin of the driver arrived at the scene, who had to collect the vehicle of his detained relative. In front of the building of the “Road Police” sector, he was also stopped and checked by the uniformed officers. It turned out that he also got behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine.

Later that night, a car patrol stopped a Peugeot driven by a 37-year-old Russian man on a street in the village of Pazardzhik. A field drug test revealed that the man had consumed marijuana.

All three drivers spent the night in the custody of RU-Pazardzhik, and fast proceedings were initiated against them.
