Oscar winner Anne Hathaway shared what she had to go through to make a name for herself in show business.
In an interview with V magazine, she talked about her start back in 2000.
“Two decades ago, it was normal for them to make us kiss back and forth with other actors to see if there was chemistry between us,” Anne began. “I remember being at an audition and the producers told me they had about 10 guys lined up for me to kiss. It was horrible. Unlike them, I wasn’t excited at all.”
Hathaway explained that at the beginning, when she was in the prime of her career, she found this task extremely difficult. “You pretend and move on,” she commented. According to her, this practice was not for the purpose of supremacy or anything else. “It’s just that times were different.”
Years later, when Anne could afford to choose which film to star in and even produce, she shared that she changed the “rules” slightly.

In the tape “The Idea of You”, which is the latest project of the star, she said that at the casting she asked the actors, instead of kissing, to sing a song that they thought the characters “would like”. “In the film, the man has to make the main character dance, that’s the purpose of the whole exercise,” Anne explained.
The trailer for the upcoming film, based on Robin Lee’s bestseller, was released last month and quickly became the talk of the town, Page Six reported.
