Victoria Beckham’s birthday party on Saturday was pretty spicy. The icon celebrated her 50th birthday last weekend in London at a lavish event, joined by her former Spice Girls co-stars Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie C.
The five women were seen singing their 1997 hit ‘Stop’ together at the party, according to a video posted on Beckham’s Instagram account on Saturday.
They also seem to have memorized the choreography of the classic piece, which they are seen performing in the video. “The best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!” she wrote in the description.
Her husband, soccer star David Beckham, appears to have been the one who captured the impromptu sing-along and can be seen in the video how excited he is about the iconic encounter.
This is the first time the five original band members have been seen together in years. The last time all the Spice Girls performed together was in 2012 at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.
In 2019, the talented performers, also known by their nicknames Baby Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice and Scary Spice respectively, reunited for a tour, while Beckham opted out, citing his desire to focus on his family and the company’s success.
The British girl group released their debut album Spice in 1996 and went on hiatus in 2000 to pursue solo careers. They rose to fame with their hit songs “Say You’ll Be There,” “Wannabe,” and “2 Become 1,” among many others.
