Rumen Radev released Dimitar Glavchev to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well

--

The head of state Rumen Radev has signed a decree on the request for changes in the composition of the official cabinet. With one signature, acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev also becomes Foreign Ministeras well as in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the post is taken over by Georgi Takhov.

Thus, with his decree, the president confirms at the same time, but also definitively the wave of changes in the office, which began only a week after his inauguration.

The first change that Dimitar Glavchev requested was the foreign minister, as in the place of Stefan Dimitrov suggested Daniel Mitov. However, he met serious criticism and opposition for this proposal, since Mitov, although a former foreign minister, is currently the deputy chairman of GERB. Daniel Mitov himself withdrew his consent.

That’s why the second offer came over the weekend – Dimitar Glavchev to combine both positions – both to the acting prime minister and to the acting foreign minister. Despite his criticism of the no-longer-so-avant-garde idea apparently Rumen Radev agreed and signed the decree to that effect today.

Rumen Radev: Glavchev does not understand what he is doing, let alone head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

He defined the claim that he is in coalition with GERB and DPS as ridiculous fantasies

Today was expected meeting between Rumen Radev and Dimitar Glavchev, but there was none. With a press release from the Council of Ministers, they confirmed their proposal for the Foreign Ministry, and in the press release from the presidency about the signed decree, it is stated that there was a conversation, apparently it happened over the phone.

The second shiftwhich Dimitar Glavchev proposed a week ago was also surprising, since minister Kiril Vatev, who was named as one of the ministers of PP-DB and the cabinet Nikolay Denkov, agreed to remain in office and in the interim government, but apparently only stayed there for a week. His place is taken from today by Radev’s decree by Georgi Takhov, as suggested by Glavchev.
