Inter are again champions of Italy for the 20th time in their history after a 2-1 win over city rivals AC Milan in a match of the 33rd round of the Italian championship.
Precise for the success of the Nerazzurri were Francesco Acherbi, who scored in the 18th minute, and Marcus Thuram, who was accurate in the 49th minute. Fikayo Tomori scored for the Rossoneri, who scored in the 79th minute.
For Simone Inzaghi’s alumni, it was a sixth consecutive victory over Milan, the first time either team had won the Scudetto with success over their city rivals.
Inter collected 86 points and after 33 rounds is unattainable at the top. The Rossoneri remain second with 69 points.
Inter opened in the 18th minute, after Francesco Acherbi, who was left uncovered, scored the ball with glamor in the goal of Mike Menian.
Seven minutes later, Inter missed out on doubling. Lautaro Martinez was dropped by the Rossoneri’s defense and shot from close range but missed the target.
Inter took a 2-0 lead in the 49th minute. Marcus Thuram outplayed Fikayo Tomori, then fired a shot from the edge of Milan’s penalty area into the bottom right corner of Mike Menjan’s goal.
Hakan Calhanoglu made a very dangerous shot in the 58th minute, which Menyan saved.
Milan returned the intrigue in the match in the 79th minute, after Fikayo Tomori put the ball into the Nerazzurri’s goal for 1:2.
