“My granddaughter is not a murderer, she is too well-educated. She learned. I did not raise a murderer! I plead with everyone – her sentence should be changed, she should be released, she should look after her children”. This is what Tona Trifonova, grandmother of Gabriela Slavova, accused of murdering her husband Peyo Peev, said, NOVA reports.

“I have not seen the recordings from the car and I do not believe them. I have taught my granddaughter and my daughter to beware of bad people. Many lies were told, many false things. Both are innocent, they did not kill anyone,” Trifonova is convinced.

Initially, Gabriela was under “house arrest” by a decision of the first instance, but the Sofia Court of Appeal changed her measure.

Her mother, Krasimira Trifonova, is also in custody, who is also charged with the murder of Peyo Peev.

Gabriela and Peyo have two children. For the paternity of the second – a 7-month-old boy, claims the former deputy from PP Veliko Minkov. In court today, he said he was interested in the fate of the mother of his child.

“She’ll probably want to be under house arrest. She’ll probably want to look after our 7-month-old son at home, but that’s unacceptable to me. Maybe in the courtroom she’ll find out about her mental state, experts will give their opinion. I’m waiting until May 7 at the latest, the result of the DNA test to prove that I am the father of her second child. However, the procedure may be delayed. I have already seen my child, I just want justice.” he stated.

Police officers took Gabriela Slavova into custody

Minkov had a relationship with the accused, which ended while Slavova was still carrying his son in her womb. However, the murdered Peyo Peev is considered to be the child’s father, since the woman accused of his murder married him weeks before the birth. Peev is also recognized as the father of Slavova’s older son. Since she has been charged with murder and is in custody, she is currently taking care of the baby and his older brother, Peyo Peev’s mother.

Gabriela Peeva remains in custody. The accused for the murder of Peyo Peev requested a change in her pretrial detention. At her own request, she was not present in the courtroom today.

Today the court decided that the request to change the measure to a lighter one was unfounded and that there were sufficient grounds that she had committed the crime. The danger of him going into hiding has not decreased. A video technical examination of the security cameras proved that there was a struggle and suffocation in the car where Peev’s body was found. However, the expertise cannot establish the identity of the participants.
