The former Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Petar Todorov, stated before the parliamentary committee on the case with the affair in customs that the suspect together with Petya Bankova, Stefan Dimitrov, has the same role in the Ministry of Internal Affairs as Martin Bojanov – the Notary in the judiciary.

“I have seen the person in question, Stefan Dimitrov, enter the building of the Ministry of the Interior many times. He was stopping on an alley that is prohibited. In some cases, I have seen him enter through the transport entrance, met by the driver of Mr. Boyko Rashkov. I do not know this person I found out about his names from a photo and information on the websites. I don’t know on what occasion he visited Mr. Rashkov.”

“They were very often at the DG National Police under the director Vencislav Kirchev. I know that he often went to Tencho Tenev. I even heard comments about the one with the tinted windows. The person in question, Stefan Dimitrov, was at a seminar of the Traffic Police-SDVR in “Kenana” in Haskovsko was present at the table, something like the Notary in Borovets. Tencho was also there as the organizer of the banquet,” Todorov said, reports BNT.

The deputies also listened to the former interior minister Boyko Rashkov. He explained that he had been in contact with Marin and Stefan Dimitrovi before starting the development of DANS against them and at that time he did not know and had no way of knowing that they were engaged in smuggling.

The two of them filed a corruption report with him against the former Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Naydenov, and this was the reason for their acquaintance. After that, they reported how a witness in the investigation against Naydenov was pressured until the witness withdrew his testimony.

Rashkov also explained Stefan Dimitrov’s frequent visits to the interior minister’s office by the fact that Dimitrov was submitting information about vote buyers in Haskovsko.

After his presentation, Boyko Rashkov refused to answer questions from the members of the committee and left the meeting.
