Director Mariana Evstatieva-Biolcheva died tonight. Her husband Prof. Boyan Biolchev announced her death.

Mariana Evstatieva-Biolcheva studied film and television directing at the Film School in Lodz, Poland.

Her cycle of educational films “We Love the Cinema” (1968) is a kind of study of how children perceive the cinema. He made his feature film debut with “The Tiger” (1973) based on a script by Vasil Akiov, followed by “Moments in a Matchbox” (1979) with a Silver Award from Moscow International Film Festival ’79 and “Golden Lace” from International Film Festival – Avelino, Italy ’81.
