The hail that hit Starozagorsko destroyed 1200 decares of agricultural production. Strong storms hit the central and southern parts of the country on Thursday afternoon. The torrential rain made it difficult to move along the “Trakia” highway in the region of Stara Zagora and Plovdiv.

“The hail lasted half an hour and was very large. There is still ice on the ground today. Everything is destroyed. The butter rose is killed. In some places there was about 30-40 cm of ice”, said farmers on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria”.

The Chirpa village of Zetivovo is also among the severely damaged.

“The situation is deplorable. Everything will be at the expense of the farmers. We have missile sites, but again there was a serious storm”, explained the mayor of the village, Ivan Ganev.
