See what the temperatures will be like
In the days around Palm Sunday, the weather will be calmer, with more sun and less, mostly local disturbances. By dawn on Friday, temperatures will approach freezing in some western areas and there will be the potential for frost. In the bright part of the day it will be sunny, with more significant temporary clouds in the afternoon and evening in the mountains and in the eastern regions. In these parts of the country there will be short spring showers of rain, high on the peaks above 2000 meters – of snow. Daily temperatures will be between 15 and 20 degrees.
During the weekends, daytime temperatures will remain between 16 and 21-22 degrees. The wind will be with more noticeable gusts in areas to the east. Cloudiness on Saturday will be denser in Western and Central Bulgaria. Showers with little thunderstorm activity are possible in and around the mountains. Short spring showers are possible along the coast on Palm Sunday. Over the rest of the country, the holiday will be sunny.
During Holy Week, the daily temperature range will be from 18 to 25 degrees. The period will begin with minimal disturbance and plenty of sunshine. From the middle of the week onwards, however, the situation will be more dynamic and unstable. There will be spring showers almost every day until Easter – fewer places on Wednesday and more – as the holiday approaches. There will also be conditions for spring storms with intense thunderstorm activity and hail.
