Bayern Munich fans have created a petition in which they voted for Thomas Tuchel to remain in charge of the team next season as the other options are not a good enough choice.
The petition is entitled “we want Tuchel, not Rangnik”, and it has been signed by more than 10 thousand people.
In February, Bayern announced that Tuchel was leaving the club at the end of the season following a discussion with the team’s management.
“Despite the negative media coverage of him and the situation with many injuries in the team, the winner of the Champions League led the team to the semi-finals. With respect to the other candidates – Unai Emery and Ralf Rangnick, these coaches cannot be compared to Tuchel. Given that the final in next season it will be Munich, the team must have a coach who is strong in this tournament – Tuchel,” the petition states.
The German’s current contract runs until 2025, after he replaced Julian Nagelsmann in March 2023.
The Bavarians then won the title in dramatic fashion in the last round, but this season they were dethroned by Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. Their chance for glory remains the Champions League, where they are in the semi-finals against Real Madrid.
