He got revenge on Tsitsipas for the recent Monte Carlo Masters final, where the Greek was the better. Today, however, the Norwegian fully deserved the trophy.
Curiously, Stefanos is on an incredible streak of back-to-back final losses in ATP 500 tournaments. This is his 11th consecutive loss in matches for such a title, although he has four trophies in the top category in his career Masters.
Two ATP 250 tournaments were also played this week.
In Munich, again on red courts, the German Jan-Lennard Struff delighted the home fans with his debut title. He triumphed over the American Taylor Fritz with the same result – 7:5, 6:3. SEE REPORTS >>>
The clay final was also played in Bucharest, where the Hungarian Marton Fuchovic won against the Argentine Mariano Navone with 6:4, 7:5. For Fuchovic, this is the second title in his career.
