Former soccer star David Beckham is suing Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg for £8.5 million.

The reason for this is the Briton’s dispute with the Australian fitness chain F45, in which Wahlberg holds 36% of the shares.

A year and a half ago, Beckham’s lawyers filed the first $20 million lawsuit. Then they announced that the company had not paid the agreed remuneration for its promotion, which Beckham had done on social networks. The football player was supposed to receive 1.5 million dollars per year, and once he also received shares.

Beckham claims he was promised shares in F45 and Mark Wahlberg’s company, but they were withheld until after share prices fell, which in turn cost him £8.5 million.

In response to the footballer’s claims, the F45 owners say the allegations of “fraudulent conduct” are without merit and have asked the judge to dismiss the case. They also claim that Beckham’s company is blaming everyone but themselves.
