Lokomotiv Sofia broke up with his previous head coach Danilo Doncic, learn dsport.
The separation came hours after the heavy loss with 0:4 at home to Botev Plovdiv from the last round of the regular season in the efbet League.
In Dončić’s place, the capital “railmen” appointed Krasimir Balakov, who will take up his post on Tuesday, as the team got a day off after the match with the “yellow and black”.
As has been widely reported in the media, Balakov has been in talks with the management of Loko Sofia in the last month to take over the team and help it in the battle for survival.
Danilo Doncic has led Lokomotiv Sofia since September 4, 2023, leading the team in 24 matches, for which the team achieved 7 wins, 4 draws and 13 losses.
