Hristo Zlatinski and company played a very strong match, totally outplaying their opponent. In this way, the “Smurfs” inflicted a second defeat of the season on the “Canaries” led by Iliyan Garov and Daniel Cohen.
In the first part, the “Smurfs” were the more organized team and several times they got into very good situations. The strong performances of the Canaries’ goalkeeper Deniz Rusev, who was born in 2007, kept the scoreless draw.
However, it was spoiled in the 33rd minute, when a cross followed from an attack from the left and Petar Andreev headed the “Smurfs” ahead – 1:0.
A little later, a dangerous diagonal shot towards the goal of Lokomotiv went out, and shortly before the end of the half, Ambartsumyan deflected a strong shot.
The second half started evenly, but in the 53rd minute, Ivo Kazakov from the Botev team was sent off with a straight red card for a dangerous entry into the half of the “black and whites”.
10 minutes later, the home team scored a second goal, which was a copy of the first goal. A cross towards the penalty area found the uncovered Petar Andreev, who took control and scored his second goal from the small penalty area – 2:0.
Another chance followed for the “black and whites”, but a dangerous diagonal shot did not find the target. In the 80th minute, the “yellow and black” had two opportunities to score, but both were missed.
In the 83rd minute, the crossbar saved the Botevists after a kick on the ground by Ivan Mihailov. Seconds later, Emil Naydenov from Botev’s team found himself in a good position, but was unable to shoot.
