Everton buried Liverpool’s title dreams! Merseysiders crumbled in the city derby

Liverpool almost lost their title chances after losing 2-0 in the city derby against Everton at Goodison Park.

Although they were underdogs in the match, the “caramels” overcame Jurgen Klopp’s team and took an invaluable three points, which will most likely save them from relegation.

This leaves Liverpool in second place with 74 points, three behind leaders Arsenal and one point ahead of champions Manchester City, who however have two games in hand. 16th-placed Everton collected 33 points and virtually escaped relegation as they moved 8 points clear of the twilight zone.
