The captain of the Bulgarian national team – Kiril Despodov, played a key role in his team PAOK not losing away to Lamia in a match of the 7th round of the playoff for the title in the Greek championship, which ended 1:1.

The Bulgarian winger started as a starter and played the whole game, receiving the highest rating in the team from Thessaloniki.

Lamia took the lead in first-half stoppage time when Vikintas Slivka headed home from Flossard Malchi’s pass.

In the added time of the meeting, the home team was left with two men less due to red cards for Pedro Amaral and Slivka.

The drama came to a head in the 10th minute of stoppage time when Despodov delivered a masterful cross into the box where Stefan Schwab headed home the point for the visitors.

With this draw, PAOK collected 68 points, which gives them third place in the Greek championship, being 3 behind the second Panathinaikos and 4 behind the first AEK. Lamia is in 6th place with 35 points in its assets.
