The President of the Bulgarian Football Union, Georgi Ivanov, attended the “Ivaylo” stadium in Veliko Tarnovo on the holiday celebrating the centenary of Eter.
“We have always had good relations with Eter, the mayor of the city is in the Executive Committee. It is an honor for me to be invited. I wish the legends to be healthy, they are no longer footballers, to wish them success. People who are worthy of respect,” shared Ivanov.
“Every day we have things we do. Ceferin and I talked a lot. Thank you for the invitation from UEFA,” he added.
“I still can’t do the reforms because there are two clubs that delayed the registration. We are under the umbrella of UEFA, they know enough about Bulgaria, they had a representative of the Congress. The federation is supported entirely by the money of FIFA and UEFA. I don’t think there is anything they don’t know,” added the BFS president.
“We have to solve the problem of football hooliganism. We have talked with SDVR. People need to feel safe in the stadium, it can’t go on like this, there will be a victim in the end and we will all regret this thing. I am neither a government person to change laws, nor am I a policeman. A derby without an audience is not a derby, I am against it if there are no visiting fans, but if there are such incidents as we saw in the last match between CSKA and Levski, not me, but the police will close the sectors”, said Georgi Ivanov.
