From today until May 4, Holy Saturday, the “godfather’s basket” is in effect, which refers to the sale of children’s toys at better prices, because of the Easter holidays. Accordingly, from April 24, 2024 to also May 4, the “Easter Basket” comes into force. We remind you that the “Lent basket” is valid until May 4.

According to Development Minister Kostas Skrekas, the two baskets allow consumers to shop cheaper for the holidays.

“Easter basket” includes lamb, Easter chocolate eggs, kozunak and other sweets characteristic of the holiday.

The “Godfather’s Basket” includes 12 product categories and allows consumers who are godparents or parents of young children to make cheaper purchases during the Easter period.

“We support households so that every family table is filled with the necessary goods at the lowest possible prices. Initiatives such as the Easter Basket increase competition between food producers for the benefit of consumers. With the “Godfather’s Basket” we help godparents and parents to buy quality toys at affordable prices to make all children happy this holiday season. The main concern of the government and the Ministry of Development is the help and relief of all citizens, especially the most vulnerable,” said Minister of Development Kostas Skrekas.
