The Israeli president called on Europe to wake up and react against the evil empire of Iran

Israeli President Isaac Herzog warned that Europe could pay a heavy price in the future if, as he said, it does not “wake up” and face the threat posed by Iran. Herzog called Iran an “evil empire” and added that European leaders do not understand the danger Tehran poses to the Middle East and beyond.
Herzog said in an interview with Politico that the Iranian government is providing thousands of drones used by Russia in its war against Ukraine, while Tehran is simultaneously advancing its nuclear weapons program.

Herzog rejected calls by US Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for Israel to hold new elections as a solution to the political turmoil that has rocked the country since Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7.

“I would advise American political leaders not to interfere in Israeli politics, but to let Israeli citizens and politicians make their own decisions,” Herzog said. He indicated that he considers US President Joseph Biden a great friend of Israel.
