Voters were asked who they preferred between Democrat Biden, Republican Trump, independents Robert Kennedy Jr. and the Green Party’s Cornel West and Jill Stein. 37% of respondents said they would vote for Trump, and 39% – for Biden; 6% cannot choose. The remaining 13% of the vote was split between Kennedy Jr., West and Stein.
But when respondents were asked to choose between Trump and Biden alone, the former president received 46 percent of the vote and the current president 44 percent. Another 10% of survey participants said they were undecided.
The statistical error of the research results is 3.1%. The poll was conducted on April 12-16 among 1,000 people.
The US presidential election will be held on November 5. Trump has already received the necessary number of delegate votes to be nominated by the Republicans for President of the United States. Biden, who is running for a second term, has secured the support of a sufficient number of delegates from the Democratic Party. Thus, the battle for the White House is expected to develop between the same candidates as four years ago.
