The Varna club “Sveti Kliment” finished 3:3 when visiting the Wolves (Harmanly) from the first round in Division “B” of the state championship in Hockey 5.
“We were leading 2:0 at halftime, and at the first whistle of the second half, the opponent’s player scored almost from the center. Unallowable goal. Only within a minute we conceded another goal – 2:2. Then the home team led 3:2 , and we equalized shortly before the end. If there was more time, we would have been the better team the whole time. That’s why I count the result 3:3 as a loss,” said Varna coach Nikolay Yanchev.
He praised newly signed German hockey player Paul Stickel, who scored two of the three goals for St. Clement.
In the other match from the group, Akademik Plus won 4:3 over Slavia. In the next round, Varna rests, and in the third they visit Plovdiv.
