CSKA recorded a win in their final game before the men’s NBL playoffs. At home, the team prevailed over Black Sea Ticha with 105:99 after Georgi Boyanov’s triple-double in a match that did not matter for the ranking of both teams. The hosts led almost throughout but came close to conceding a late reversal.
Morris Creek missed the second game in a row for the Varna team, and this time Averil Ugba was also absent.
The Reds finish this phase of the championship in fifth place with a record of 15 wins and 17 losses, while their opponents are sixth with 11-20 and still without success under their new coach Georgi Davidov. In the last seconds, Ivan Spirov left for five fouls after receiving an unsportsmanlike one, and Viktor Gergov did not finish the match either.
Georgi Boyanov finished the game with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Alexander Radukic scored 20 points, and Vasil Bachev scored 19.
For the opponent, Curtis Jones had 22 points and 7 rebounds. Ivan Spirov has 17 points, and Marin Marinov has 15.
