The Rediscover Kanto event is live and will last for over two weeks!

The Rediscover Kanto event has just started in Pokémon GO. This event is part of the live launch of a new system called Pokémon GO Biomes, which we’ll share more about soon. Here are the first details about the event:

• The Rediscover Kanto event runs from April 22nd at 7:00pm to May 10th at 5:00am.
• You can earn more experience points during your 7-day plan in terms of stopping and fishing points
• Friendships grow faster than usual
• There is a higher chance for Shiny Bulbasaur, Shiny Charmander, and Shiny Squirtle
• The following Pokemon gain special attacks through evolution:
  • Venosaurus: Factory madness
  • Charger: Burning explosion
  • Blastoise: Water cannon
• There are special field research missions that provide:
  • Venusur Mega Energy
  • Mega Power Charger
  • Blastoise Mega Energy
• Private search will be available to everyone
