Former US President Donald Trump called Ukraine part of Russia in his talks with European leaders. It reported The Wall Street Journal on Monday, citing sources.

US officials point out that the former US president has referred to Ukraine as “their Ukraine” or “part of Russia” in conversations with European leaders.

According to them, Trump has been criticizing Ukraine as a corrupt country for years. The former president has also often complained about Washington’s support for Kiev.

Formerly The Wall Street Journal reported that American legislators, in particular the Republican senators of the US Congress, during their meetings with Trump, convinced the latter that the Kyiv authorities would be able to return all the loans granted to them if they defeated Russia.

On April 20, the US House of Representatives approved bills to provide military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, to confiscate frozen Russian assets for their actual transfer to Kiev, and to impose additional sanctions against China. The package has a total value of 95 billion dollars. it includes, in particular, $61 billion for Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel, as well as humanitarian aid funds for the civilian population in conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip. The bills must now be approved by the US Senate, which will begin consideration on April 23. If passed, they will be sent to US President Joe Biden for his signature. The American leader has already promised to sign this package of bills.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that providing military aid to Kiev only complicates the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
