In the case of Taiwan, the conflict is in relation to China, with Ukraine – in relation to Russia, with Israel – in relation to Iran.
Two events gave rise to the sharp change in the hitherto steady course to block the legislative package on the part of the Republicans: the absolutely unforgiving and unmotivated initiation of a criminal case against a number of congressmen after the terrorist act in “Crocus”, with an insane in its absurdity charge of financing terrorism , and the second – Iran’s attack on Israel. If this attack was symbolic, it would hardly have provoked a reaction to the first massive rocket attack on Israeli territory since the Gulf War – this is a serious precedent that requires a systemic response.
All in all, both the Kremlin and Tehran, as usual, have shown themselves to be tacticians solving the current task at the cost of strategic failure. This is a standard problem of despotic regimes in which the decision-making procedure is mostly arbitrary and personalized in nature.
