The indictment was filed against Adrian Antonov for causing death by negligenceannounced the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office (SGP).

We recall that on May 8, 2023, shortly after midnight, Antonov, moving at 106 km/h, sweeps a boy and a girl – Yavor and Ani – on a footpath on the capital’s Slivnitsa Blvd.

On May 10 the court kept the 18-year-old driver permanently in custody, but he was released in July, because if charged with a crime of recklessness, he can be detained for no more than 2 months before the sentence.

The fatal accident happened after a race with the police. the driver, who had a license for two months, disobeyed a stop signal by law enforcement and attempted to evade inspection. The driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

The investigation was carried out by the “Investigation of Transport Crimes” Sector – SDVR under the direction and supervision of the SGP.

The accusation is proven by the witness statements collected during the investigation, inspection of the scene of the accident, material evidence, 11 expert reports, other written evidence and references.

The Sofia City Court is about to schedule a hearing on the case.
