The deputies formed a temporary commission to establish facts and circumstances regarding the missing strategic document “Road map for the implementation of the project for the expansion of the gas transmission system of the Republic of Bulgaria”, as well as all facts and circumstances regarding the implementation of the Turkish Stream project on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria .

At the beginning of the meeting, the presiding officer Ramadan Atalai from the DPS stated that the most important thing is that “the public receives clear and accurate information, without insinuations”. He proposed that each member of the Energy Commission provide their materials “so that the commission does not turn into general talk and suggestions” and that the important issues be discussed at the next meeting.

Tomislav Donchev from GERB noted that it is proper to ask DANS or the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide the road map: “Two years ago, the chairman of the same state agency mentioned that he had it and provided it to the minister… If we want to follow up the events of 2-3 years ago, there is a huge amount of information classified, and at your discretion, if possible, this information should be made available to the members of the commission”.

Martin Dimitrov from the PPDB stated that since today’s meeting is not based on the request of the PPDB, within a week it must be implemented according to the points they indicated. “Mr. Iliyan Vassilev is also here. Let him be on the second point, after Mrs. Petkova failed to provide the Road Map. A person who cannot provide the Road Map is more interesting than the people who found it. I want to the hearing of Iliyan Vassilev will be voted on”.

Ramadan Atalai proposed to vote on the agenda and then make the relevant proposals.

Venko Sabrutev from PPDB proposed to listen to the organization “Bulgarian Elves” – an organization that found the Roadmap, in which cyber security experts work.

Martin Dimitrov insisted that the hearing of Iliyan Vassilev be included in the agenda.

Stanislav Anastasov from DPS asked with what expertise the proposals in question are. “You are not concerned that the road map has disappeared, that it is not in the ME, but you are concerned about who may have found it, what happened. In essence, this is concealment of information,” he said.

Ramadan Atalai called on his colleagues to soften the tone and to introduce order and rules: “I have nothing against Iliyan Vasilev being heard, if we want we will also listen to Parvan Banyadzhiyat. But if we currently allow anyone to stand against us and interpret what he said, sowing suggestions in society, I do not agree with such an agenda”.

“According to this logic, what documents did Ms. Petkova present so that we can hear her today”, Martin Dimitrov was indignant.

“As soon as you have claims that Mrs. Petkova did not provide materials, we will not listen to her today. We will listen to her at the next meeting, an even easier decision,” Atalay repeated and added that in his capacity as a former minister of energy, he duly provide the necessary documents.

“She did not bring her documents home as a minister,” added Tomislav Donchev.

We will ask DANS to provide the road map and other documents at the next meeting. From KEVR, we will ask for the decisions from 2018, which determine the methodology for reserving the capacity and the rates of return… And finally, we will come up with the decision that society expects from us. Otherwise, if you want to turn the committee into a talking room, I don’t mind. I’m dropping the microphone, I’m leaving the hall, and after you’ve talked, I’ll close the meeting,” said Atalai, addressing Martin Dimitrov.

Stanislav Atanasov pointed out that if “our former ambassador in Moscow – Iliyan Vasilev” is heard, we will turn into a political show. “And for him to talk to us works, with the clear thought that he has absolutely no access to these documents… Explain to me very simply – why it is necessary”.

Ramadan Atalai proposed the online hearing of “Bulgarian Elves” at the next meeting, but Martin Dimitrov insisted that his proposal be supported by a vote.
