The smugglers, father and son Dimitrovi, visited both the Customs Agency and the Ministry of Finance.

The Commission for Investigating Corrupt Practices in the Customs Agency is listening to the former Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Petar Todorov and the PP-DB MP and former Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov.

The commission was created after the scandal in the Customs and the detention of the former director of the Agency, Petya Bankova, who is accused together with Marin and Stefan Dimitrovi of participating in an organized criminal group for smuggling and money laundering.

At the previous meeting of the commission, from a letter from the Ministry of the Interior to the deputies, it became clear that Boyko Rashkov, as interior minister, was visited 10 times by Marin and Stefan Dimitrovi, as well as by Petya Bankova.

This happened between May 2021 and March 2022. Rashkov described what was happening as a political attack ahead of the upcoming elections and stated that the defendants in the customs investigation were with him as witnesses. And “We continue the change” demanded that Rashkov be heard in the commission.
