The case filed by the relatives of Todor Barakov, who died in an accident, against “DallBog Insurance Joint Stock Company: Life and Health” JSC begins. It is the insurer under the “Civil Liability” insurance of the car driven by Petar Marinashki, which killed Todor Barakov and Viktor Vasilev more than 3 years ago near Kadievo. The case will be heard on April 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the District Court – Plovdiv.
At the request of the insurer, Petar Marinashki will also attend the case in the role of the company’s assistant.
Witnesses are to be heard and numerous forensic examinations to be carried out.
We remind you that Petar Marinashki was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for the fact that on November 11, 2020, while driving a car in the area of the village of Kadievo, he violated the traffic rules and caused the death of Todor Barakov by negligence and Viktor Vassilev and caused moderate bodily harm to Nikolay Liskov, and the act was committed after the use of narcotic substances – marijuana.
The verdict of the District Court – Plovdiv was confirmed by the Court of Appeal – Plovdiv and the Supreme Court of Cassation. It was submitted to the District Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv on July 20, 2023, and it was immediately ordered to be executed.
By order of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv, July 21, 2023, Marinashki was detained and taken by employees of DG “Security” to the prison to serve his imposed prison sentence.
The young man was deprived of the right to drive a motor vehicle for a period of eight years, which sentence was also carried out.
