Journalist Dimitar Stoyanov has been released on BGN 5,000 bail, the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office announced. He was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening to kill.

He was taken into custody after a report that he pointed a gun at a man who was reported to be a NRA officer, Darrick recalled.

The incident took place in the capital’s “Hadji Dimitar” neighborhood on Monday.

“It has been established that the actions of Dimitar Stoyanov are indecent, grossly violating public order and expressing clear disrespect for society, as in addition to the fact that he pulled out a combat pistol in a public place, he also inflicted numerous blows with his feet and hands in the area of ​​the head and the body of the attacked person”, claims the prosecutor’s office and adds that he also made insulting remarks about the man, threatening to “break his head”.

Two combat pistols and a carbine were seized from Stoyanov’s home.
