Bills supporting Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan have easily cleared procedural hurdles in the United States Senate.

The texts, which provide a total of $95 billion in arms supplies and financial aid to America’s allies, were approved by the lower house of Congress on Saturday.

The votes of at least 60 of the 100 senators were needed to move them to a final vote today. 80 voted “for” and “against” – only 19.

According to Reuters, the final vote could take place as early as today or tomorrow. President Joe Biden has promised to sign the four bills immediately, which would allow the United States to resume arms supplies to Kiev.

US military aid deliveries to Ukraine could begin within days of presidential approval. The bill’s $61 billion in spending includes funds to replenish the U.S. arsenal after weapons are sent to Kiev, as well as funds for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, through which the Pentagon buys systems for the Ukrainian military directly from U.S. companies.

About $8 billion is for non-military aid, including the operation of the Ukrainian government.
