Measures to prevent crimes were discussed in Karlovo by the director of the Plovdiv police, Senior Commissioner Georgi Chergov, and the mayor of the municipality, Emil Kabaivanov.
Among these topics was the video surveillance in the city, for the improvement and expansion of its scope, the mayor Dr. Kabaivanov expressed readiness.
According to the brief report of the head of the RU-Karlovo on the more characteristic results of the work of the employees since the beginning of the year, a total of 179 crimes were registered, of which 69 were solved. Regarding the thefts – 25 of the total documented, 33 have an established perpetrator. 17 crimes related to “drugs” were also discovered.
As part of the road control, 9 drivers were caught after drinking alcohol and 5 – under the influence of narcotic substances.
19 accidents occurred in the serviced territory with 2 deaths and 27 injuries, and the sections with the greatest concentration remain the Sub-Balkan road and the Plovdiv – Karlovo road.
