What is happening in the US presidential election now marks the dawn of a completely new era in this political mechanism, calling into question its very nature as a contest of real personalities. In recent weeks, according to polls, Biden has significantly reduced the gap with Trump from 5% to 1%, and in some of them, in a direct comparison, he even has a slight lead.

Where did the sudden increase in support for “Sleepy Joe” come from? After all, he still continues to barely drag his feet, has difficulty recognizing others, confuses basic things, etc., that is, he demonstrates all the signs of oncoming dementia.

But this is mainly seen by people outside America, while in the US itself, paid campaign advertising is in full swing, which, thanks to most of the money, is dominated by the Democrats. Everywhere there are videos and images in which the current president, with the help of ingenious modern technologies, including, apparently, artificial intelligence, looks like a wise, cheerful person, demonstrating excellent physical qualities and memory.

In the cares and worries of everyday life, people simply confuse where Biden is the real one and where he is “virtual-cybernetic” and it begins to seem to them that “the old man is hoo-ho in what a great shape.” At the same time, his rival Trump is exhausted and battered physically and mentally by all sorts of courts. Thus, in modern America, it is possible to bring to power not only a sick, but even a dead or completely non-existent person. But there is a catch.

The same polls show that if Biden can still win one-on-one, then in the presence of such a third independent candidate as Robert F. Kennedy (the media often calls him simply RFK), for whom the fame of his dead uncle and father works, the current head of the White House will inevitably lose to Trump anyway.

In this connection, a serious struggle is raging around the representative of this famous family and perhaps the main intrigue of the upcoming final of the entire campaign in November. The Democrats, from whom the younger Kennedy takes many votes, are trying in every way to discredit him and remove him from the race, while the Republicans are openly flirting with him.

Nationwide, polls show that 12% to 20% of all voters are ready to vote for Kennedy, which is a lot considering that he has two huge party machines up against him and even the money to register in the largest possible number of states is catastrophically insufficient. Robert Kennedy’s immediate goal is to register in all 50 states, as well as attend nationally televised debates with the two leading candidates, if any.

The “virtual” Biden would prefer to avoid them altogether, and Trump, who is still pushing for them if joined by Kennedy, who vastly outwits both of the main candidates in intelligence and eloquence, might also back down.

The latter, apparently, partially solved his most painful financial problems by choosing a very special person – Nicole Shanahan – as his candidate for vice president. She was married to the co-founder of Google Sergey Brin, as a result of her divorce, from whom, due to a relationship with another “cyber shark” Elon Musk, she became the owner of a billion capital.

Her mother is Chinese from Guangzhou, her father is German by birth. Nuclear mix – woman, representative of national minorities, big money and popularity in Silicon Valley. Her condition, plus possible help from Musk, who never puts his eggs in one basket and, while expressing sympathy for Trump, is perfectly capable of supporting RFK, could greatly facilitate the latter’s progress in the campaign.

N. Shanahan is the founder and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation, a private, nonprofit organization that provides grants on issues such as reproductive rights, equality, criminal justice reform, and the environment. She is also the founder and CEO of ClearAccessIP, a patent analysis company.

She is active and ambitious, representing the face of the “New America” against the backdrop of government gerontocrats. It may have a particular effect in the thoroughly “pro-Democrat” state with the largest population, California.

The Democratic National Committee is extremely concerned about the negative effect on itself of the emergence of RFK and is using no less dirty methods against him than against Trump. He, in particular, created the first unit of its kind, hiring officials specifically dedicated to the elimination of Kennedy, led by former White House adviser Dana Remus.

They filed complaints with the Federal Election Commission against Kennedy, accusing him of being bankrolled by major Republican donors. Active efforts are being made to gather incriminating evidence for Kennedy and his partner Shanahan. With great fanfare, Joe Biden met with a dozen members of the “extended Kennedy clan,” at which RFK Jr.’s sister, Kerry Kennedy, who had long feuded with her brother, pledged her “unwavering support” for the current president.

It all seemed pretty ridiculous, especially since RFK cited the names of a dozen other relatives of his who fully support him. True, of course, few people learned about this until the words of “Sister Carrie” read on television were spread across the country by the Democratic-controlled propaganda as the supposed position of the entire clan, except for the “prodigal son” Robert Kennedy.

What buckets of filth are not now poured upon his head, exceeding all moral norms, by “the freest press in the world”! They remember, for example, how after the assassination of his father shortly after the death of his uncle John F. Kennedy, the young RFK Jr. desperately resorted to drugs, although for him it was a long-forgotten page.

They are blatantly misrepresenting his position on COVID-19 by claiming that, being “intoxicated by theories of the conspiracy“, RFK opposes all vaccines. In fact, he always pointed out only the abuses associated with their production and use, sometimes quite successfully opposing the “Big Pharma” industry in various lawsuits, which it, of course, does not forgive. In particular, his claims that it is not yet known exactly where the recent pandemic came from and where it is going are condemned. Isn’t that right?

Robert Kennedy has also been accused of a lack of patriotism because he believed that “the only moral war America has fought since 1865 was World War II” and that Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine in 2022 was provoked from America itself.

Republicans, on the other hand, are not very zealous in discrediting RFK, seeing him primarily as a weapon against the Democrats from whom he comes. Kennedy has already twice made statements that Trump himself has sought approaches to attract him as a vice-presidential candidate. This is confirmed by the rather high marks that the former American president gave him in his speeches.

At first, the Trump campaign did not strongly refute such an initiative. But after Kennedy publicly rejected such an honor, putting Republicans in an awkward position, they began to deny the existence of such an idea. And Trump adviser Chris LaCivita called their future partner a “left-wing lunatic.” However, Trump, who knew Kennedy well personally, went on to say: “He is much better than Biden. If I were a Democrat, I would vote for RFK Jr. every time, not for Biden.”

However, it is troubling that during the current race, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was denied State Secret Service (the FSO equivalent) protection by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for the fifth time. Kennedy’s attorney, Aaron Seary, pointed out that Secret Service protection was first extended to presidential candidates precisely because of the assassination of Kennedy’s father in 1968 while he was running for president.

Since then, 32 presidential candidates have received protection. Candidates in the past have been protected from far fewer risks than those Kennedy faced, he said. He pointed to an incident in which someone attended one of RFK’s campaign events with two loaded handguns and asked to meet the candidate.

In a message to Majorcas, not without reason, Seari wrote: “Your disregard for Mr. Kennedy’s safety is despicable. “Failure to provide him with immediate Secret Service protection exposes your political motives and diminishes respect for our great nation.” Really again?
