At the European Women’s Chess Championship in Rhodes, Greece, the seventh round of ten is coming up today.

The six Bulgarian participants will have serious rivals on Friday. Beloslava Krasteva (ELO 2220), who is fifth in the ranking with an asset of 5 points, will play with the black pieces against the Azerbaijani Gunai Mamadzada (ELO 2436). The rival of the bronze medalist from the World Girls’ Championship, Krasteva, is ranked fifth in the tournament and has 4.5 points so far.

Victoria Radeva will be with white against the chess player with the highest ELO coefficient in Greece – Yulia Osmak from Ukraine, who has 2459, while the Plovdiv player has a rating of 2315. Both have 4 points.

Nadia Toncheva (ELO 2258) also has an asset of 4 points and will play with the black pieces against the Polish Olivia Klobasa (ELO 2386).

Gergana Peycheva has 3.5 points and will play white against Armenia’s Elina Danielyan, who has the same number of points.

Petya Karaivanova has 3 points and will be with the white pieces against the Spaniard Leire Abriskueta.

Grandmaster Antoineta Stefanova currently has the smallest asset of the Bulgarian women – 2.5. The tenth world champion will play with black against Monika Stojkovska from North Macedonia.
